I remember in my first year I got off the train from london with exactly 1 pound, which gave me the option of getting the bus back to my flat, or walking the (entirely uphill, 1 1/2 miles) journey back to my flat and buying a 99p bottle of 'Omega' from Alldays when I got there.
I think you can guess what I chose to do . . . |
